A Quiet Afternoon

It was unusually quiet around the house this afternoon. Jeff had taken Ez and I was busy making a mess in the kitchen. Usually when it is quiet like this Jeff is in the garage, unpacking, sorting, repacking, counting, and playing in his hunting stuff. At this time of the the year about half of Jeff's garage is covered in camping gear which provides Jeff with hours of entertainment every day. So when it was quiet I figured Jeff was out in the garage playing camping with Ezra (kinda like playing house- dress up in camo, set up a tent, practice shooting bows ect.), but when I went out in the garage the boys weren't out there. After a short search I found them.

I am always amused at the stuff you can learn about a person after you have married them. You think you know everything about them and then you find them in the closet dressed like an Arab. And the strange thing is- you really aren't all that shocked. But when he tells you he is cleaning the closet, you feel like you just got the wind knocked out of you and you are left speechless.

All I can say is I'm so glad I married him. . .or more honestly. . .that he married me. I'm grateful everyday for that faux Arab man.
