Corban Visit

Corban is Jeffs little sister, Shannon's, son. He came to stay with us for a couple weeks while Shannon and her husband went to Jordan to visit Jeffs parents. It was a lot of fun having him here. I love the little things kids say at this age. He is four, almost five. I wrote down a few of my favorite things that happened while he was here.

1.Last night when I was tucking him in I asked him what his favorite part of the day was. He had driven the remote control car, went to the park, rented a game for the wii, decorated the christmas tree, picked out his favorite ice cream at the store and got two scoops when he got home. . . You know, he had been sufficiently spoiled. He replied with, "going to preschool". Booooo, he didn't even go to preschool that day or the day before. I wonder if they remember anything at this age.

2. We took him to trafalga and we went and played everything in that place. My favorite thing was when we were golfing there was a painting on the wall of two girls. One a blonde one a brunette. I asked him which one he thought was the cutest. He looked at them for a minute and then pointed to the blonde. Then he proceeded to point to their chest and tell me he liked this area best. Good luck with that one in ten years Shannon:-) My son will never say things like that. . . ha ha.

3. We read the grinch who stole christmas every night. Last night when I put him to bed he asked me if he could get out of bed at night. I was confused so I waited for him to go on. "You know jen, for a cup of cold water like Cindy lou who?" Apparently that book is totally applicable to problems he is facing in life. And that night he did get out of bed for a couple of cold water. Twice!

4. I for some reason assumed that he would be wiping himself by this age, so I was surprised when I was called in for wiping duty. What was even better about the wiping situation was, if Corban has friends over, I then get called in for wiping duty for his friends too.

5. Lastly here is a video of Corban and I having a regular discussion. I posted it for his parents and grandparents to see. It isn't a real thriller of a video, just a perfect clip of what Corban is like at this age. I guess I should mention this video was taken after one of my veneers fell off. A most unpleasant surprise for me. Corban on the other had a very optimistic outlook on the situation.

You are such a good aunt Jen. I loved the video. Kids thought trains are just so funny.
