I am currently sitting at Valley Medical Center in Seattle WA with my little sister Shelly. Shelly went into labor this past friday. . . it was the first day of her 30th week of being pregnant. It has been a long crappy road of medicine and sickness since then. Lots of contractions, adverse reactions, anxiety and worry. All of this is expected.
What isn't expected is for Michelle's husband to get sick Sunday night.
Eric called Shelly Monday morning and told her he was sick all night. And of course, on Monday, Shelly started having bad enough contractions that they had to transfer her hospitals because they thought she was going to have her baby, and they needed a better NICU. So Shelly transfered hospitals and pour Eric showed up and helped pack her up and moved with her to the new hospital. Upon arrival to Valley Medical Center Shelly told Eric to go to Urgent Care. Eric went since he was still feeling so horrible. Eric went from Urgent Care, to the Emergency room at Valley Medical Center. So Shelly is in the Birthing Center, Eric is in the Emergency Room. UNBEFREAKINLEAVABLE!
Turns out Eric had appendicitis. And yesterday, tuesday, Eric had his appendix removed. He had a room on the same floor as Michelle but a whole separate wing. It is slighting funny now, not really, but hopefully we will all sit around one day and laugh about this.
Eric in his room recovering, mostly worrying about shelly.
Shelly on bedrest in her room, mostly worrying about eric.
Eric is so cute and as soon as he could stay awake to walk to Michelle's room he came over for a visit. They both had their IV polls, matching gowns, and gripper socks. They were quite the pair.
Since Michelle transfered to Valley Medical her contractions for the most part have stayed somewhat under control. There have been a some really hard scary contractions, and regular contractions, but for right now they have subsided.
Your prayers are heard, please keep these two hooligans in them. Thanks.
